Declared a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO, the island of Menorca is a natural enclave of incalculable value. By booking your stay in one of the many hotels in Menorca you can enjoy incomparable landscapes, as well as the charm and life of the Balearic Islands.

The origins of the first settlers of Menorca date back to the Bronze Age. For this reason, the island is full of megalithic monuments and caves, such as the Talayotic site of Trepucó or the Naveta des Tudons. On the other hand, the early Christian past of the island is shown in the Basilica of Son Bou and in the remains of the fortress near Santa Águeda.

Mahón, capital of the island, is its most important city in terms of commerce. Its natural port is considered one of the most beautiful in the world. Next to it, you will find the La Mola Fortress and the Bastió de Sant Roc. Nearby, in the premises of an old convent, is the Museum of Menorca, a must-see. In the historic center of the city you can stay in the hotels in Menorca that best suit your needs, such as the Catalonia Mirador des Port hotel.

Ciutadella, the second city of the island, was built in the 12th century and has preserved many of the original buildings since then. Within its walls you can visit the Cathedral-Basilica of Santa María de Ciutadella, which dates back to the 14th century.

If you like sunbathing and swimming, you will love the beaches of Menorca. From Cala Pregonda to Cala Es Talaier, passing through Cala Macarella and Cala Mitjana.

Additionally, on the island you can visit Monte Toro, the highest point in Menorca; Marlborough Fort, built by the English during the 18th century in their fight for control of the Mediterranean; Binibeca, a spectacular fishing village painted all in white, S'Albufera des Grau, the largest natural park on the island, and the Favaritx Lighthouse, with an almost lunar landscape.

To eat, we recommend, as it could not be otherwise, the D. O. Mahón-Menorca cheese and the sobrasada. As a main course, a lobster stew and for dessert, ensaimada or pastissets. Our Catalonia Mirador des Port hotel in Mahón offers you an extensive menu of suggestions and local products with which to delight your palate.
